DJ COOPDVILLE

  Born in Spanish harlem New York City,Coopdville was influenced by the birth of hip hop culture.  As a five yr old growing up in Uptown  N.Y.he witnessed the pioneers of graffiti,dj;s,and b-boyin such as Dondi,Kool Herc,and
Crazy legs. Inspired by Red alert on the radio backspinning  James Brown breaks,Coop was set to get turntables.
He began his career 1984 rocking house parties and making mix tapes in Little Habana Miami.Fla.

  In 89' pirate radio revolutionized the airwaves where Cooper B (D.J. DEF) spun underground hip hop,bass and club hits. 91' he changed his name to D.J. COOPDVILLE and continued doing radio shows at various stations and clubs mixing hip hop,jungle,and dub along side dj's like
Craze,T.C.Islam,Jah Yzer,and Khalid. In 2000 made a move to the Bay Area spinning at events like ELEPHUNK,DUBPHONIC,TRUE SKOOL PRESENTS,COMPRESSION,BASS SESSIONS,HOLDING FIRM,SUMMER BOUNCE,COOYAH and others. This year
DJCOOPDVILLE brings the sound of DUB STEP-REGGAE-HIP HOP for release in the fall of 2008!

                 Pirate radio is still one of the most ground breaking tools for d.j.'s and artist seeking to promote their music around the world. In miami Coop did a number of shows on different dials and areas of the city. This was the way to advertise events,music,and skills to let the listeners know the 411. Many artists came through like K.R.S.  FAT JOE  GURU  BUSTA  ONYX  RAH DIGGA  and many more. Coop broadcasted on the mix live and spun music that influenced him.

With the new tech. of the world at our reach,so many things are possible now that was not available 10 yrs ago.
  The internet has grown to be the no.1 communication tool for the new mill. From e-mails to music and video, the majority of the population is using it either for work or entertainment. Now radio has change in a big way and making it possible for listeners to chose what kind of music they want to listen to. Internet radio has taking over to accomodate every person that likes to hear music without any interuptions.

dropping a load of music from hip hop to soul,funk,reggae,dancehall,and dub. A good way to promote your own music and events around the world. This kind of networking will only help those artist trying to reach out to the public and other forms of media to be finally recongnized for there talents.
